A Labor of Love
For the third year in a row, Nickie Wurr has conducted a baby food drive at Holy Trinity Catholic Church to support the Marian House Life Support Center. She began conducting this annual drive after volunteering at the Life Support Center several years ago. She was overwhelmed by the need of families in our community, and the amount of baby food and supplies the Life Support distributed each day.
Wanting to help keep the shelves stocked, Nickie talked to her pastor at Holy Trinity Catholic Church and asked if she could do a baby food drive. He agreed, and they have become a valuable partner in helping the families who come to the Life Support Center every day for support.
In this drive alone, Nickie collected 3,084 diapers, 4,932 wipes, 31 cans of baby formula and 817 jars of baby food. The donation is valued at $1,522.
Thank you Nickie and the members of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. We could not serve the number of families who come to us for help without your support.
The Marian House Life Support Center distributes about 10,000 jars of baby food, 45,500 diapers, 1,600 cans of formula, and 56,000 items of children’s’ clothing each year.
