Sunrise Methodist Church prepares Barbeque for Marian House guests
On Saturday, September 19, Sunrise Methodist Church members came to the Marian House to serve the 600+ guests who eat there most days. They set up tents, tables, a serving line, grilling station, etc., and brought an army of volunteers to help. This is the second year they have provided a bar-be-que for Marian House guests, and they plan to make it an annual event.
Marian House guests loved the change of pace, and because it was a beautiful day, most people ate outside and enjoyed the weather. Thanks to Gary Wiesch, the Sunrise Methodist Church facilities manager for organizing the event. And thank you to all the Sunrise members who participated! We could not support this ministry without the help of organizations, businesses, churches, and individuals in our community who are so generous of their time, talent and resources.
