1. What is Catholic Charities of Colorado Springs

Catholic Charities of Colorado Springs, a local non-profit agency, serves all people, regardless of race or religion, who come to us to help answer needs and improve lives. Catholic Charities of Colorado Springs was founded in 1968 to provide compassionate, competent and professional services that strengthen and support individuals, families and communities based on the value and dignity of human life.

2. What services do you offer?

We provide emergency services for economically disadvantaged families and individuals.  Specifically:

  • basic living items for infants, children and mothers
  • a soup kitchen and services for people who are low income or homeless
  • poverty reduction services
  • assistance for those transitioning to self-sufficiency
  • adoption services
  • unplanned pregnancy counseling and support
  • post abortion support
  • English As a Second Language classes for immigrants
  • Social Services Advocacy.

3. Where are you located?

Our main office, which houses Marian House Life Support, Life Connections, Family Immigration Services, and administration, is at 228 N. Cascade Ave.  Our phone number is 636-2345.

The Marian House Soup Kitchen and Hanifen Center at Marian House, which houses the poverty reductions services – Marian House Community Outreach and Marian House Client Services as well as numerous partner agencies, is located at 14 W. Bijou St.

4. Do I have to be Catholic to use your services?

No.  Our services are open to anyone who is in need of our assistance and many of our services are free of charge to clients.
